Required Permit
A Los Angeles County Disposition of Human Remains Permit is required for all unattended burials at sea.
You can obtain the permit by:

Visiting the Los Angeles County Vital Records Office, or

Requesting one through a licensed Los Angeles County funeral home or crematory.
Please place the completed permit inside the shipping package.
